My Patients; My Passion!: Beyond #covid19
#covid19 Cannot change my love for my patients. We at Gulani Vision Institute just modified our hugs into foot taps , elbow bumps and Thumbs up pumps.
While I spent all day today personally requesting worldwide patients not to fly to me for surgery for this week and follow all the precautions on travel due to #covid19, it was great to see my post-surgery patients and have fun with them while celebrating their vision.
With Natasha Namen, World Ballroom Dance champion, I did a foot tap and I will not forget her statement before surgery with me that “her contact lenses hurt her more than her shoes while dancing” and she was glad to undergo the “No-Cut” Lasik for her high #astigmatism straight to 20/20 vision.
Did an elbow bump with pilot Luis Torres who had complications from two Lasik surgeries with his surgeon that we corrected with Laser Corneoplastique to 20/20 and he flies nationwide again as an accomplished pilot.
I did the air thumbs up with Tezra King who had thin cornea and high astigmatism and was told by surgeons that she is “Not a Candidate”.
She presently sees better than 20/20 with the new Lazrplastique surgery.
It is such a privilege to help such amazing and highly accomplished people and then get to celebrate with them when they come back to tell me their success stories in life.
My patients drive my passion. We are open but for those waiting to fly to me, I urge you to please wait until travel becomes safe again.
To all surgeons who were scheduled to travel to observe my surgery, please stay home and I shall record my surgeries for you to view online.
