My vision has been an issue for many years from the time I was six or seven years old. I was impaired wearing glasses for 30+ years in doing lots of things I wanted to do. This sounds almost unbelievable, but I felt I couldn’t hear or comprehend without my glasses. The jokes about my “coke bottles” really got old hearing it all those years.
I had RK performed while I was in my 40s and enjoyed the freedom from glasses for approximately 10 years. Then serious vision problems began. The scarring was excessive in my eyes and yet again impacting my life, both personally and professionally. In my job I have the responsibility of editing and proofing documents and it had become a struggle.
My eye surgeon had met Dr. Gulani and referred me to him saying if he needed radial keratotomy surgery that is who he would travel to.
At GVI, I was treated with utmost respect and my vision problems were thoroughly addressed. I felt very confident in Dr. Gulani’s diagnosis. It was really a learning experience because I was not aware of the RK repercussions and was elated to hear that he could help me. I was flabbergasted to learn that I had 33 cuts in my eyes that Dr. Gulani had to deal with.
I would not even entertain the thought of going to any other Dr. for my eyes. I believe he is very sincere in wanting to obtain the best vision for each patient he treats. He has a passion for his job and it is apparent each and every time I have seen him. His credentials and accolades speak for themselves, but to really appreciate his expertise you have to be a patient or a student!
I would most definitely recommend Dr. Gulani to anyone that I can. In fact, I have. I also refer co-workers, friends and family to your website that explains so much of the different procedures and to see the testimonials. His personal call the evening of the surgery is a definite personal touch.
I also want to add that the staff at GVI is very professional and knowledgeable of the inner workings of the institute. I have always been treated respectfully by the staff, telephonically or personal. The office portrays the professionalism that is conducive to Dr. Gulani.
