So…here is my RK (Radial Keratotomy) eye, and Yes, I have Gulani Vision: 20/20. Here I am, next day after my supposedly “impossible” surgery, smiling and ready to fly back to Maryland with better than 20/20 vision.
Dr. Gulani calls his concept of correcting RK patients “NEW CARPET OVER BROKEN TILES”. Eye surgeons world-wide need to make their pilgrimage to see Dr. Gulani’s work, and learn his techniques! I also think the “survivors” of RK need to band together and form some sort of group to help other people that have gone through what we have, and realize with confidence that indeed, they can also be made to see clearly again. There just needs to be more physicians like him.
The fact that I went to JOHNS HOPKINS – a renowned medical institution – and was basically turned away with a “we can’t help you” attitude, was so dismissive and disheartening, and to have found Dr. Gulani who had EVERY CONFIDENCE that he could give me back my vision, which he did, was literally like a miracle!!
Patients from several renowned medical centers and universities were also at his institute, also awaiting their miracles.
