Officer Steve G. (Orlando, FL)
Officer Steve suffered from poor vision his whole life which seemed to get worse. After complications from his radial keratotomy (RK) surgery no surgeon wanted to proceed with his cataract surgery.
After researching Dr. Gulani, Steve was finally able to have his cataract surgery and that too in a SPA like setting with no injections, no stitches, and no pain.
Now after being able to see 20/20 Steve shared that his life has been changed, he is now certified to be a rescue diver and shared his experience with his first dive in the Georgia Aquarium.
“Here we are, right out of surgery on Steve’s second eye, which was said to be extremely difficult by his ophthalmologist. She suggested we consult with Dr. Gulani, as he does amazing things that other surgeons cannot. Steve is right out of surgery, feeling no pain or discomfort, and in the best of spirits. We can’t express how unbelievable the entire process has been, from our first visit with Dr. Gulani and his staff, through post-op on both eyes. The care and personal attention from everyone at the Vision Institute, and the incredible facilities, has been above and beyond any physician’s office experience we’ve ever had. His goal focuses on designing a personalized plan that transitions the patient from what other surgeons considered impossible, to perfection, with consistency. We’re very pleased to be part of the Gulani Vision Institute family!”

“Dr. Gulani took Steve’s difficult RK case to 20/20. When his eye surgeon referred him to Dr. Gulani, we knew he must be in a different league. We came in for a consultation and realized that the principles of ADDIE could be applied to his surgical process. Dr. Gulani analyzed the situation, designed the difficult process in his mind, developed the process, implemented his process in the surgical suite, then finally evaluated the results of the process. This outside the box approach to RK patients and Dr. Gulani’s constant desire to help his colleagues change their mindset is as difficult as trying to turn an aircraft carrier; difficult but not impossible for him. #USSGulani”
