From the age of 4, I’ve had to wear glasses, as I grew, my vision steadily became worse, but stabilized in my teens. I had -6.0 in my left and -5.5 in my right. Contacts were uncomfortable to wear and because my Rx was so strong. I was limited to the style of frames for eye wear. Rx sunglasses where thick and heavy and a nightmare to wear for any type of physical activity.

I used the search engine, google, searching on “LASIK” the hits were overwhelming.  Dr Gulani website was one of the first hits. I also contacted Mayo Clinic’s Ophthalmology Dept and they no longer do LASIK. After talking to local Lasik surgeons and then talking with Dr Gulani, Dr Gulani’s method and understanding of my goals for life without glasses made the choice easier. Although, when I would tell people I was getting Laser ASA, they would tell me, “oh, that’s PRK, that’s old”. Boy are the wrong.

Fantastic, the office staff is very friendly, but not insincere. The medical staff were very professional. Dr Gulani is very engaged and charismatic.

“Dr. Gulani is great, I really felt that he cared about getting me out of my glasses and created a custom surgical plan just for me that would help me achieve my vision goals.”

Although, the healing takes longer , I LOVE being free of my glasses. Funny, I still find myself “pushing” up imaginary glasses and wanting to take them off when I go to bed at night. However, waking up in the morning and being able to “SEE” everything without first fumbling around for my glasses, is “ PRICELESS”.

Dr. Gulani is Excellent with his surgical skills, he explains everything and patiently answers questions. He’s a nice guy, very engaged and care’s about what he does for you, and is passionate about his work.
