  I had extreme astigmatism and nearsightedness. In addition, my reading vision was starting to deteriorate. I have been in glasses and contacts for almost 20 years.

 The last time I had an eye exam my doctor touched my arm and looked at me over his glasses and said, “Honey, you better never leave your house without a backup pair of glasses, because if you lose a contact, you will never find your way back home!” I brought my old lenses to show.

  I did extensive research to find the best surgeon and watched testimonials from patients, like the one I am doing now.

  The staff here is so professional and reassuring. They eliminated all feelings of anxiety before my surgery.
 I was very nervous about having surgery on my eye bu from my first consultation; I knew I was in good hands. I left feeling confident that I would have perfect vision after the surgery he customized for my eyes.

  It has made such a drastic difference in my everyday life. I am able to do the things I love without the hassles of glasses or contacts. I’m more active since my surgery than I have ever been. I run, cycle, swim, head to the beach as often as possible. I love falling asleep reading a book or watching a movie without glasses.
 
I feel lucky to live here in Jacksonville where Dr. Gulani, one of the only surgeons in the world with the expertise to perform my surgery practices. It is evident how passionate he is about changing the lives of his patients. He wanted to give me perfect vision as badly as I wanted it!
 
I continue to refer others to GVI.  In fact, I brought my mother today to meet Dr. Gulani.
