 My vision was quite poor.  I was a – 8 or -9 and I had been wearing contacts since I was 11 years old – for 40 years!

Approximately three years ago I was diagnosed with dry eyes and my tolerance for contact lenses was declining.  Prior to my dry eyes, I would wear my contact lenses for a minimum of 12 hours with no problem. I dreaded having to wear eyeglasses.  I went to an eyeglass store located in Avondale and while trying on 30 + eyeglasses, I explained to the sales person how frustrated I was with my dry eye.
She told me that Dr. Gulani was “The Best” eye surgeon.  He had helped not only her husband (who had previous RK surgery before meeting Dr. Gulani), but also the Eye Doctor of this Clinic (the eyeglass store owner) who suffered from dry eye.

I was very impressed with Dr. Gulani’s awards and pictures of his patients he had displayed in his waiting area – from all over the world.  But what really surprised me was Dr. Gulani coming out to the waiting area to introduce himself to me during my first appointment.  I thought immediately “I’m in good hands.”

Dr. Gulani is confident, caring, and truly passionate about helping people (see).  I came to my first appointment with a worksheet of all the medications that had been prescribed to me over the last 3 years, along with a list of remedies I had been doing at home for my dry eyes. He listened so patiently…..and then assured me that I will no longer need any of it!

Dr. Gulani was reassuring beginning with my first visit, through one medical procedure (MGP) he first corrected my Dry eyes and then through Laser ASA/PRK he corrected my vision. 
It’s only been about 5 weeks, but I can see better than ever!  And, no more dry eye!!  My eyes feel better than they ever have.  

I was told in the past I’m not a candidate for Lasik surgery as well as “When we stabilize your dry eyes we can explore if you are a candidate”.  Two years ago I went to the emergency room due to dry eye, yet no one, but Dr. Gulani, assured me he could help.

He explained how he was going to approach my correction, step by step, and that each patient was unique.  Dr. Gulani and his staff were professional and caring and always answered all my questions. 

I have recommended my colleagues and friends and Yes – My brother from NYC is already planning to visit Dr. Gulani for a consultation. 

I also recommended several friends from work.  I’ve been telling everyone I know (who brings up the topic of contacts, glasses or eyes) all about Dr.Gulani and GVI!!!!
