I had bad  cataracts, very high Astigmatism of 7.5, not being able to drive at night and not being able to read street signs. Additionally, I had keratoconus.

Dr. Howell; my eye doctor mentioned to me that the only eye surgeon he knew in the country who can take any case and turn it around to perfection is Dr. Gulani and luckily for me, he lives in this town itself.

At Gulani vision institute my experience has been wonderful .  I needed to know about this 20 yrs ago.

He was able to perform eye complex cataract surgery despite my keratoconus by using new generation lens implants and I today for the first time in my life am free of glasses. I LOVE IT!

Dr. Gulani,

    I am writing to you to tell you how grateful I am that someone has finally pointed me in the right direction. My vision was severely challenged. At one point about 10 years ago, I looked into Lasik and was told that the only way that I would see any better was to get the cataract removed. I have had an eye exam every year, because I am diabetic, and have always went to an optometrist. Clarity on paper and by computer was hard for me being that I have astigmatism, probably one of the worst you have encountered. I was told that even after having the cataract removed I would have to wear a strong lens to see.

    Finally this year I went to see Dr. Charles Howell. He told me that he could get my vision to where I could function, but not see all that I could. He suggested that I come and see you. He said you would tell me what was possible and what wasn’t. He explained the option that you would give me, and told me that you would not give me anything that I didn’t need.

    It is currently 90 days later and I have had the cataracts removed and the Toric lens implanted and I am currently seeing 20/25!! I sincerely appreciate the time you and your staff has taken to do all of the necessary tests, and educate me about what you were doing and why you were doing it. I had several appointments before surgery, phone calls from you and your staff after surgery, and follow up appointments. I look forward to the upcoming appointments.

I have worked in hospitals for 45 years, and around nursing staff. I have to say everyone has been amazing! I cannot express enough how kind and considerate they have been and how welcome I have felt at Gulani vision institute. It’s a very uneasy feeling to have any kind of surgery but especially on your eye. You and everyone in your office have made it very clear that I can always call with questions and problems, which is very comforting. They have also explained the process and have made it very easy to understand what was going to happen. I also appreciate that you have kept my optometrist in the loop about what was going on.

    Again there are no words to express the joy and appreciation I have for you and your staff!! I just want to say thank you so very much for what you have done for me, I am forever grateful!!
