Vision in my left eye was very weak. It was becoming increasingly difficult for my optometrist to correct my vision with glasses. Each year at my annual eye exam the problem of correcting my left eye vision becoming more complex.
Referred by Dr. Akel, my optometrist. I have worn glasses since the early 80’s. My eyes were deteriorating with corneal scars and my eye doctor (Dr.Gary Akel) suggested seeing Dr. Gulani as one of the most innovative and reputed eye surgeons he had ever seen. Infact to quote his exact words he said “Dr.Gulani was light years ahead of other eye surgeons”. We together decided that Dr. Gulani was the best doctor available to correct my vision problem. He heard him speak of his new technique with patients with severe Pterygium growths and his success with helping restore their vision.
My experience at GVI has been Absolutely fantastic. The staff is very friendly and efficient. I had surgeries in both eyes, I have a great deal of confidence with Dr. Gulani and his staff.

Dr.Gulani cleared my scars in minutes using his invented Laser Corneoplastique techniques which my eye doctor witnessed live. I came back 9 years later for cataract surgery which again Dr. Gulani performed with a flair and accuracy of an Artist by custom designing my plan to perfect 20/20 vision at distance and near.
My outcomes have been Unbelievable! Very positive. I can now watch TV, drive, work on computer without glasses. I am very active with outdoor activities.
I like Dr.Gulani’s “out of the box” thinking and vision to correct eye problems other eye surgeons would not think possible. I’m looking forward to many years of improved vision! Surgically, Dr. Gulani is light years ahead of other eye surgeons. I believe that and am a living example of this.
My optometrist is very impressed with the results of the surgeries I had in both eyes. He explains things in a way that patients can understand. Each surgery is carefully planned out with the goal of providing the patient vision without the need for glasses.

As Dr.Gulani’s patient for over 14 years, and as a former Principals and teacher, let me explain his hashtag (#20/20). In 2006 Dr Gulani not only corrected my lasik complications beyond 20/20. Ten years later I developed age related Cataracts. Once again Dr. Gulani brought me back to 20/20. Not only is it about performance and consistency but his personal care beyond the norm in medicine. My passions include scuba diving, traveling all over the world, snow skiing and motorcycling both locally and out west and working out five times a week at the YMCA at the age of 75. My newest adventure is riding on my new Maxfoot Ebike on the beach. My continued #20/20 vision has continued to allow me to explore my passions with the vision of people many years younger.
