JOHNS HOPKINS to GulaniVision: RK+Cataract =20/20
“I had previous RK (Radial Keratotomy)surgery with scars and cataracts. Very poor distance vision as well as close up over the last several years. Being from the Medical profession myself, I sought help at Johns Hopkins where I work and all surgeons said nothing could be done. And yet, Dr.Gulani gave me 20/20 Vision and that too without glasses. I found GVI (Gulani Vision Institute) through extensive research and traveled from Maryland because Dr.Gulani’s passion, background. Experience was unique compared to other surgeons I had previously met with, who gave me no hope for correcting the RK. Excellent!! Very courteous, friendly, efficient staff and of course, Dr.Gulani was the best. My experience at GVI was extremely positive – Dr. Gulani has wonderful sense of humor, besides being brilliant eye surgeon. I enjoy very much listening to him, sharing his passion for his work. He’s a delight! After surgery, my eyes feel wonderful. I know my eye vision will continue to improve. Since I am 1 day post op, I know I have some more healing to take place and look forward to the final outcome. Dr. Gulani is simiply the best!! Better and far beyond anything I had previously experienced with other eye surgeons, who gave me little to no hope for a good surgical outcome to correct Radial Keratotomy. They were very negative and Dr. Gulani is nothing but positive!! I could listen to him all day. I will absolutely refer others to GVI – my sister who lives in New Orleans has had RK surgery and going through much the same problems as me. She will more than likely come now due to my positive experience.”
