Lasik innovations. 24 years ago I designed this special Lasik globe stabilizer to perform Lasik surgery on patients with involuntary Eye movements. Having performed Lasik surgery abroad much before FDA approved surgeons in the United States, I had already started designing instruments for complex cases that deserved vision corrective surgery. Numerous companies helped me design new technologies and instruments to further improve Lasik and make it safer and more available to those patients who were told that they are not candidates. Just this week, I used this instrument on a patient whose Eye involuntarily moved due to her extremely high farsightedness an astigmatism and lazy eye status. She is doing very well and I also used this instruments in cataract surgery patients with albinism and nystagmus . The Eyecare industry plays an important role in realizing our innovations so we can help our patients better.
