Wavefront Custom Lasik

Custom Lasik is a technological advance in Lasik surgery wherein wavefront aberrations in the entire optical system of the eye are corrected (unlike just the cornea-based refractive error in conventional Lasik) towards best potential visual acuity. This is ongoing industrial effort supervision.

Dr. Gulani was already certified and experienced in Custom Lasik surgery abroad even before the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved this surgery for eye surgeons in the United States of America. He has been teaching (innovator's talk) wavefront concepts and Custom Lasik surgery to Lasik surgeons worldwide. He has been invited to author a book chapter to share his experience in the prestigious, Clinics of North America, which was released recently. He has been interviewed in medical as well as news media for his contributions to this futuristic field of Lasik as he strives to educate Lasik surgeons who are enthusiastically adapting this new technology in their practice.
