My vision was quickly deteriorating. I stopped reading books, Blades of grass were blurry. It was depressing and scary. I have a small miniature donkey farm. I was worried how to continue if my eyes for worse.

My vision was deteriorating rapidly, so much so that the next step would be that I declared legally blind. I could not drive to places that I did not know extremely well, as I could not read road signs and I could only read printed material printed in large print.
I had been treated at another facility and was extremely unhappy with the results of my treatment so I went to my eye doctor for a second opinion as to my previous treatment. My eye doctor recommended that I come to Dr. Gulani, saying that if Dr. Gulani could not help me I could not be helped.
I have never before gone to a Doctor and felt so at home and at ease. I cannot give enough praise to the entire clinic and staff of Gulani Vision Institute.
As with the above statement, I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Gulani. He is the only Doctor that I have ever in my entire life gone to and had the Doctor spend as much time as Dr. Gulani has explaining to me (in language that I can understand) what was going on and how it should be treated and also how much time Dr. Gulani spend deciding on just the right treatment.
He corrected my Laser surgery from my previous surgeon with his Laser Vision technique.
I have had clear glass put in the right side of my glasses which is amazing and I can see better than I could previously with prescription lenses in both sides of my glasses.

I have recently completed a highly- successful procedure know as advanced surface ablation with chemical modulation through the Gulani Vision Institute in Jacksonville, FL. The circumstances are unique, and are indicative of the expertise of Dr. Gulani. In the year 2000, I had Lasik surgery on both of my eyes, correcting my vision from worse than 20-4000 to 20-20 vision. The surgery required two applications to each eye, leaving me with a cornea with two surgical incisions. In April 2003 I was diagnosed with multiple myelona cancer, which required some rather debilitating chemotherapy. The side effects of this chemotherapy caused significant changes to my eye. I lost my 20-20 vision, acquired double vision, and had cataract developed in both eyes. After the chemotherapy was over, I had the cataract removed and artificial lenses implanted, thus introducing a third surgical scar to my cornea. Unfortunately, the new lenses did not bring my eyesight back to 20-20.
At this point, my ophthalmologist fitted me for glasses, which I found exceedingly bothersome. I then asked what else could be done. At that point I was referred to Dr. Gulani, whom my ophthalmologist described as “the only ophthalmologist with the background, training, experience and equipment to apply any further treatment”. Dr. Gulani examined me, and saw the extreme difficulty of having to determine what the initial Lasik surgery had done to the cornea of my eyes, take into account the artificial lens implant, as well as the three surgical scars on each eye. Dr. Gulani took on this most complex problem, and was miraculously able to restore my sight to 20-20 vision.
From this experience, I cannot recommend too strongly that the Gulani Vision Institute and Dr. Gulani be consulted on any vision problems that one might have. This is especially true if one has unsuccessful or marginally successful Lasik surgery in the past. Dr. Gulani is uniquely qualified to correct such situations that others would view as hopeless.

I first visited Dr. Gulani in the summer of 2007. I was 63 at the time. I had previously had Lasik surgery in one eye for distance vision about ten years earlier. The other eye was for near vision. Over that ten year period, my vision gradually deteriorated in both eyes to the point that I had to wear glasses for reading and was almost at the point for needed them all the time for distance too.
I had been to other “noted surgeon” in Jacksonville and was told that even if I had “treatment” I would still need glasses for either near vision or distant vision.
Dr. Gulani suggested Advanced Laser Vision Surgery tailored to my eyes and was able to correct both of my eyes whereby I can function completely without glasses. My near vision is a true blessing since reading is my second favorite past-time, being second only to my golf. My golfing friends are astounded at how well I see at a distance and how much my putting has improved.
Dr. Gulani performed procedures on both my wife (Temple) and me on the same day. He had clearly explained to each of us what to expect and how long it might be before we would enjoy the full effect.
The final results are greater than we envisioned. We have referred several of our friends to Dr. Gulani and will continue to do so. He is unique in his field.

I could not see “close up” with my left eye after previous eye surgery with another surgeon; in order to read books, magazines, newspapers, medicine bottle directions, or price tags I had to wear glasses and a magnifying glass.
My previous eye surgeon had taken out cataracts and put in a lens implant so I would not need glasses. My vision was very bad. In my profession as a nuclear security officer I must re-qualify yearly with the weapons I carry. The surgery clarified my vision in my shooting eye. 5 yrs ago lasik surgery was performed on both my eyes with another surgeon in North Carolina. I had several eye exams with other doctors due to vision loss. I was never able to see clearly with or without eye glasses.
